This time of year is when every teacher wants to quit. We're tired, tired, tired, and the end seems too far away.
It helps when you have the opposite ends of the spectrum of students: those who are twitchy about every point in order to retain their status as valedictorian and those who are begging for points in order to get their parents off their backs. I'm not sure which is the more frustrating scenario.
Tonight I have been reading other teachers' blogs about their classes wondering why they seem more insightful. I think it's because I stew and talk with my neighbor; I don't sit and write.
I thought I would try something new tonight to start a week of several new things; I'm including several new approaches to texts this week. Hoping they all work out. Sometimes it's guess work.
